Happy Halloween!

Anna the Monster Bride and Owen as Optimus Prime. Anna brought in 6 pounds of candy! Owen, not so much. He wasn't really keen on the trick o'treating thing this year. He went around to our neighbors and was pretty much done. Anna, on the other hand, arrived home with so much, we'll-I mean, she'll be eating Halloween candy until Memorial Day. :-)

Much to my delight, Owen played soccer this fall! He kicked the ball and actually scored a few goals! I am truly a "soccer" mom now!

First day of school. Anna is now in 3rd grade and Owen is in 4 year old preschool. Boy, they grow up so fast!

Summer Fun with the cousins!

This summer has been extra special because cousins Grayson and Wyatt (and Auntie Katie and Uncle Kevin) now live in Indiana and are closer to us! We get to see them much more and have "cousin play dates" at our house and at their Nana Nancy and Papaw Bobby's in Huber Heights. T-Ball Fun!

This summer has been an exciting one of change for our household. Anna and Owen are both playing Tee Ball at our local Rec Center. I am excited because 1)this is the first organized team sport that Owen could play (it felt like forever before he was old enough to play on one!), and 2)Anna actually showed interest in something other than gymnastics! (I'm bummed it's not soccer, though!). They seem to enjoy the game and have made lots of new friends!

Well, if you have read some of my previous posts, you are aware that my precious dog, Jake died in May. Here is a picture of him.

OK...I am below the bar on this blogging thing. No excuses. A couple of friends are constantly updating their blogs and I get jealous every time I look at them. I figure, if I am taking the time to look and read their blogs, I have time to post to mine, right? So....I am pledging now to try to update my blog at least once every two weeks. Especially since I have half the summer left to be a blogger before school starts again. So I pledge. Em

Jake, my precious dog of 10 years, has died. He was loved very much and my family will miss him dearly. He was a wonderful dog, faithful, loving, and a loyal companion. He will always have a special place in my heart. I will always love you, Jakey.

Thanksgiving 2008

November 2008 started off with the addition of a brand-new furnace in our home. Luckily, the week after Halloween turned out to be warm, so it was a good week to have a furnace installed (I have been loving the thing this week, with our subzero temperatures!) Below are some Thanksgiving cookie-making pictures I took. Anna and Owen had a great time making Turkey cookies! And the kids playing in the leaves.

It's Halloween! Owen decided to be "The Batman", his latest obssession. Anna has succumbed to peer pressure and has become a fan (and cheerleader) of THAT team. Two words for her: GO BLUE!

Where are the SeppaBrowns?

So it's been awhile since the last post. I know, I know. Too long. Sometimes life just gets away from you and you forget things. I have to stop doing that! Some funny family things have happened, and it's not fair not to share with all of you, our friends and family! Like Owen's recent obsession and behavior difficulties, Anna's gymnastics and unfortunate college football team fav, and me just taking it all in.
