Happy Birthday Anna!

On Saturday, August 16th, Anna celebrated her 7th birthday! She had a party at Sweet & Sassy with 11 of her closest friends. It was very fun, watching the girls dress up and twirl around the cat walk! She had 2 Hannah Montana birthday cakes ( 1 at the party and 1 with the grandparents later that evening) and had a great day. Her party ended with a BANG!-well, at least 2 bangs on her ears...she got her ears pierced! She was so brave and absolutely beautiful (not that she wasn't before). Below are the before and the after pictures. I don't think she"ll ever forget this birthday (I know I won't!)

It's the 1st day of School!

The 1st day of school! We were all excited and ready to start the day. Owen, not so much. I think he was a little nervous-new teacher, and a new routine he was going to have to get used to very quickly. The picture with Daddy was the only one I could get of his face toward me. We had a few tears (ok-maybe a lot of tears) and the Batman lunchbox was the most important thing that day.

Anna, on the other hand, was ready to go! Her first day of 2nd grade! She has joined me at Stingley this year, I am now trying to remember to say "our" school instead of "my" school. I think Anna has adjusted very quickly, while Mom is still figuring out everything. She is a great kid, I am very thankful for the extra time with her!
